This upgrade of an existing data center not only increased the “white” space area for computer server equipment and associated electrical utilities, but created a showcase network operations center with an emphasis on corporate branding and guest experience. The technical challenges included the installation of roof-top generators, interior fuel storage, and seismic bracing for an aged building in a dense San Francisco neighborhood.
