EXPOSITION RESIDENCE
While an International Style residence from 1938 remained unmodified since its construction, the changed urban context and modern needs of a home triggered a remodel and expansion. An addition, connected to the house with a bridge, respects the historic character of the original structure, while altering its relationship to site.
Recipient of an AIA Award of Merit, 1996.

VERTIGO STUDIO
In this adaptive reuse, an uninhabitable and maze-like apartment over a restaurant was transformed into an artist’s studio. The replacement of the collapsing roof and supporting masonry not only saved the building’s structure, but provided the opportunity to create a minimalist space under a canopy of North-facing skylights.

INTERNATIONAL JET
Sited on the tarmac of Centennial Airport, the 21,000 SF private hangar houses International Jet Aviation’s fleet of aircraft. Its broad expanse of high sheen epoxy flooring and over-sized doors opening toward the Rocky Mountains elevate this utilitarian structure to a dramatic showcase for corporate jets.
